Warehouse - Full Time

Position Function: Assists in coordinating and overseeing the daily functions of the receiving department. Responsibilities include receiving of merchandise, preparing and balancing inter-store transfers, overseeing shipping of merchandise to customers, preparing daily UPS computerized reconciliation, overseeing customer repairs, pricing of goods, transfers from receiving area to sales floor, and documenting shortages, breakage of goods.

Receiving of merchandise – Receives all shipments sent to the store location. Inspects the freight for damages, missing items and other discrepancies. Processes shipments, including reconciling invoices to purchase orders, verifying costs and retail prices, printing receiving documents, store transfers, and pricing labels. Correction of errors that may occur in pricing or tagging. Coordination of the proper procedures for return and/or disposal of damaged merchandise.

Qualification Standards: (skills/knowledge, experience, and education)
1. 1 + years successful experience as an Warehouse Associate with a strong interest to move into a leadership role, or 1 + year receiving and supervisory experience in a specialty retail organization or a retail environment.

2. 1 + years computerized receiving, and computer experience required in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ten-key proficiency.

3. Must be extremely well organized and able to successfully motivate and lead others.

Physical /Environment Aspects: Daily physical effort required in this position. Dexterity, visual acuity, hearing, speaking is necessary. Effective written and oral communication skills are a must. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis is a necessity. Must have a valid driver’s license. This position requires walking and standing for long periods of time.
