Responsible for all customer service interactions. Greets all customers upon entrance to the respective store. Duties include customer service, cash handling including bank deposits, restocking of merchandise and communicating to the Terminal Manager and/or Shift Lead about products that is out of or other customer related requests. Works closely with Shift Leads and Terminal Manager to ensure that the mission and vision of Avila Retail is well represented in the communities it serves.
Customer Service/Sales - Greets all customers, must have strong knowledge of all products. Informs Shift Leads about any and all customer issues. Follows up with customers as warranted/necessary.
Register and Sales Floor Duties - Checks supplies and replenishes supplies and stock as necessary. Ensure that cash register area and sales floor are kept clean and organized during schedule shift. Is knowledgeable about how cash register operates, know cash handling policies.
Scheduling - Works scheduled shift as required. Understands that if it is not possible to work a scheduled shift that the sales associate make a reasonable attempt to get coverage.
Must have a strong ability to communicate with persons on many different levels. Needs to be self motivated, committed to the mission and vision of Avila Retail.
1+ years of previous sales person/customer service experience with my be substituted for community volunteer or scholastic efforts which illustrates traits of an effective sales person.
Computerized cash register experience and inventory management experience is preferred.
Strong desire to work with multi-state retail organization.
Must be organized and enjoy a sales environment.
Physical effort is required in this position
Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
This position requires walking and standing for long periods of time.
