Meet individual sales goals by using in-depth product knowledge to determine customer needs, present appropriate products that meet those needs, build the sale and overcome customer objections, add on additional products, use the B Gold Selling Standards and Steps to ask for the sale and reinforce the purchase.
Sales Generation: In partnership with the Store Sales Manager, assist in supervising the Store, ensuring and maintaining high quality standards resulting in the maximization of sales and operating income objectives to include but not be limited to productivity measures (best practices, Demos, UPTs, average sale, and hourly sales) customer service, sales contests, participation in mall and community based sales activities, and identifying and acting upon sales trends.
Assist in training and development of Salespeople; coaching and developing Associates to increase and maximize their individual and team performance in all sales and operational functions, as appropriate. Provide information about Associate performance to Store Sales Manager, Sales for performance management purposes. Ensure awareness of, and compliance to, state and federal employment regulations, as well as all Brookstone policies and procedures.
Assist in ensuring consistent compliance with the Execution Guide and Company merchandising directives to maximize sales. Ensure merchandise is processed in effective manner per Company guidelines.
Assist and take direction from the Store Sales Manager in controlling Store payroll expenses to ensure the Store is maximizing the effectiveness of Associate schedules. Control Store non-payroll expenses (i.e., supplies, telephone, utilities, and repairs).
Record sales through the POS register, suggest the Bonus Buy item to every customer at the cashwrap and receive payments in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Take appropriate actions to minimize shrinkage within the Store and comply with all loss prevention policies and procedures including but not limited to proper securing of product, and maintaining customer visibility.
Assist in Store inventory maintenance by following visual loss prevention and all internal/external theft prevention guidelines. Be able to retrieve merchandise from the stockroom and maintain the sales floor using the Execution Guide.
Assist in Store housekeeping chores and ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas.
Ability to attend to work, and be physically active, for the duration of scheduled shift (Ordinary physical demands of a Retail Store environment)
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently.
Daily lifting and moving of parcels; Occasional weight of 40-50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
Bending, lifting, and twisting required
